Philip C. Untalan spent 26 years as a public sector accountant. He was also — simultaneously — a multilingual international journalist, photographer, and published poet with over 35 years in media.

When he retired in March 2026, he did not stop. He enrolled in a Continuing Education course at his local community college — AI Advantage for Work & Life, online via Zoom. The same way he had learned QuickBooks, Adobe CS6, and every tool that mattered before it. He opened PyCharm. He started building.
